EB Newberry, Partner
E.B.’s public relations experience began in the community service sector. Motivated by her passion for community involvement, E.B. became extremely involved in volunteer projects at a very early age. Among her many achievements, after graduating with a B.A. in International Relations with a concentration in Spanish Language, E.B. spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. E.B. started a community service center on her college campus and spearheaded a city-wide literacy initiative. With only a small budget and her creativity and ingenuity, E.B. instantly took to making contacts in the press and distributing her press releases. It was there she discovered a true passion for making headlines. E.B. worked directly with many local non-profit organizations and began planning and promoting benefit events. From black tie to bar-b-que’s E.B. made a name for herself in the community and became the event planning and promotion go-to person. After a year of hard work and a multitude of media appearances, E.B. went to law school.
While studying law outside of Chicago, E.B. immediately integrated herself into the community and her skills began to shine. E.B. became a primary social coordinator for student events within her law school and again found herself planning and promoting events. E.B. also found herself working in the area of hospitality and up-scale restaurants. No stranger to management, E.B. worked diligently with locally owned restaurants and took them from sinking to soaring. E.B. has a contemporary approach to
public relations that has proven extremely effective.
After graduating law school and earning her degree as a Juris Doctor, E.B. moved to Southwest Florida and began working in promotions and as a model while studying for the bar exam. Shortly after moving, E.B. and Dustin
realized they had a completely different and genuinely innovative system for helping businesses. They then joined together and created The Meraki Agency. |
